Most Students are confused between B.E in CSE and a B.Tech in I.T. Here's the difference. A B.Tech course in I.T a practical Engineering discipline, concerned with implementing solutions to practical problems using current-day technology. It is the business side of computers - usually dealing with databases, business, accounting etc and is less technical compared to Computer Science.

Most importantly, the I.T course module has been designed with more of software part in the course whereas Computer Science includes more of computer hardware part like networking, chip level knowledge etc. Even so, some of the subjects are common in both the streams.
