A value-added course on Build Your First Robot, From Concept To Creation was conducted for Second-year ECE students from October 03, 2024, to October 10, 2024. The objective of this course is to provide proper guidance on working with Tinkercad and enable students to undertake projects using Tinkercard Application. In the morning session Mr. Jain Paul explained the basic concept of electronics.The afternoon session was handled by Mr. Siva Bala Vignesh. He explained the concept of Embedded System and also how the Arduino block works. The event was concluded in the afternoon session of October 10, 2024 with assessment and collection of feedback from the students. Based on the assessment results, certificates were awarded to the participants.
REAL TIME MONITORING USING WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS:A HARD WARE PERSPECTIVE
A value-added course Real Time monitoring Using Wireless sensor Networks: A Hardware Perspective conducted for Third-year ECE students from Oct 3, 2024, to Oct 10, 2024. The objective of this course is to provide proper guidance on working with Real Time monitoring Using Wireless sensor Networks. The session was handled by Mr.Praveen Mathias, Mr.K.Rangunathan and Mr.G.I.Arun. They explained how to blink an LED using ESP32 and do a project to blink LED. The event concluded in the afternoon session of Oct 10, 2024 with assessment and collection of feedback from students. Based on the assessment results, certificates were awarded to the participants.

A technical talk on AI Revolution: Shaping Tomorrow’s Technology Today was conducted on September 27th, 2024 in the smart class. Ms. Roja, IV year ECE student delivered the welcome address followed by the Presidential address by Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Principal. Ms. M. C. Nisha from III ECE introduced the chief guest, Dr. R. Christal Jebi, Managing Director, Researcher Lyceum Private Limited. Then the resource person gave a brief introduction about advanced technologies using AI. Finally,the session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. G. Anameega.
National Space Day Celebration
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering celebrated National Space Day on August 23, 2024, with vibrant activities. Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema gave a detailed presentation on the Chandrayaan-3 mission, which had successfully landed near the Moon’s south pole on August 23, 2023. The video presentation, “National Space Day 2024,” offered a deep dive into the history and future of space exploration, featuring breath-taking visuals of the Moon and highlighting the mission’s objectives, including the search for water-based ice and the exploration of the lunar south pole.

An industrial visit to KELTRON was organized on 7th February, 2020 for II and III year students of our Department. This visit was very informative and innovative. Students learned a lot of information about circuit designing, assembling, controlling and testing. This was a good experience and enabled the students to understand more about the electronic circuits used in various applications.

On February 20, 2020 our department organized an International Conference on IoT Based Instrumentation, FPGA and Artificial Intelligence Technology ( ICIFAIT’20).
